Of course you don’t have to be a gourmet chef to put this grill to work for you. Even cooking hot dogs and burgers on this grill will be a fun and tasty time.
If you’re used to seeing simple grills with a basic flame setup then you don’t know what you’ve been missing. This Weber Summit Freestanding Grill comes with six stainless steel side mounted burners. What do side mounted burners have to do with outdoor grilling? What about whipping up some baked beans to go along with your burgers? Or how about having some simmering marinades to coat your meat with? There are plenty of other side dishes you can create while keeping a direct eye on your main course. These burners utilize the Snap-Jet ignition system which means turning on your grill is as easy as flipping a switch. And when not in use, these burners can be covered up and converted into additional cooking space. This means everything you need to complete your meal will be right at your fingertips.
The main grilling area is over 600 square inches. This shrouded grill also serves as a perfect smoker. The grate is made up of durable 9.5 mm diameter stainless steel rods utilizing the patented Flavorizer design. What does that mean to you? It means the heat of your flame will be evenly spread on whatever you’re grilling. This will let you consistently deliver perfectly grilled foods every time! And we all know hot dogs and burgers taste better on toasted buns. That’s what the warming rack is for.
Not only can you grill and cook with the burners but this Weber Summit Grill comes with a Tuck-Away rotisserie system that will allow you to slow cook a wide array of meat and poultry. If you’ve never slow cooked meat before you don’t know what you’re missing. Luckily, this Weber grill comes with a taste-tested cookbook that offers up dozens of mouthwatering recipes.

Weber has done it again. I've been a Weber guy for 25 years and this is the best ever. What an awesome grill! I was reluctant at first to spend this kind of money thinking that I can buy 2 for the price of this one, but I'm glad I bought it.
We have used it for a month now, cooking steaks, burgers,chicken, ribs, fish and veggies. Every dish was spectacular. Controlling the heat is what's important and it didn't take long to figure that out. It's so easy. We haven't used the rotisserie yet so I can't comment on that.
The only caution I would throw at you is that opening the lid on high heat can singe your arm hair if you aren't careful. You only make that mistake once. Once you know that, it is easy to be careful. You don't need a mitt to do it, just raise your arm a little.
I am so excited about this grill, we use it every chance we get.

[...] Set up was four screws! Only needed a Philllips head screwdriver. The hidden rotisserie is very cool and everything tucks nicely underneath. Lighting system is great so far. Only one tiny negative is that the knobs feel a bit cheap and flimsy for such an amazingly built machine otherwise. Buy the cover, RA sells it for $20 bucks less than anywhere else.

We love our new grill. We put it together and it was very easy. Love the size of the grill, the lights on the handle, drip tray and used the rotissiere for the first time and it was great. We love Weber!

I bought the Weber Summit to replace a smaller grill that I had for many years. The Summit is larger (6 burners)and has many other great features I didn't have before, but am taking full advantage of, like built in rotisserie and smoker box. I've had the grill for a month and have yet to cook a meal on anything else. I've done a rotisserie chicken, smoked a Texas style brisket, made ribs, grilled burgers, assorted vegetables, and pineapple. The grill works like a dream. It does generate a lot of heat which takes a little getting used to depending on the power of your last grill. The heat adjusts easily and you can create grilling zones as well. No problem getting a good sear. I have the natural gas model which is incredibly convenient. I know you sacrifice the element of live fire, but if you're good with the seasoning, etc. you can get some great tasting food off this grill. I highly recommend it.
