This washer/dryer combo is simple to use- just one step for clean, dry clothes. Advantages of the HWD1000 A) Power requirements are 115 Voltage~60Hz. It can work off the regular power socket. B) The unit does not require external venting for the dryer. Hot vapors during the dry cycle are condensed into water and drained away. C) The unit dimensions allow it to be built into a kitchen cabinet.

I live in a condo that has no laundry room, and I am too lazy and cheap to go down stairs to the laundry room. This machine was the answer to my problem by being able to fit into a small closet and plug into a standard 110v outlet. I had to do the plumbing myself and have a friend to do the electric to allow it work, but that is another story. The only problem is that because it is only 110v and ventless, so the drying cycle does not completely dry the clothes all of the time and can leave clothes a little wrinkled if clothes are not removed in time. All in all, for my situation it is perfect, but if you have room for a full size washer and dryer go for that instead.

I rely on having a washer and dryer at home. I can only use this one, however, for smaller loads that are light in weight and fabric density. Don't even bother trying to dry jeans or towels in this unit. The 3 hours to wash/dry is great if you need to do a special load of wash and want to run out for a while. The unit is noisy during the spin cycle and shakes (had it balanced by the tech guy and have a flat stone deadweight and microwave on it to help it stabilize).
I still go out to wash my towels, jeans and heavier fabrics. But this is a great machine if you don't have a 220V line and need a machine for small loads. Highly recommend the 4 year warranty too.

If you are in the Metro New York and Metro New Jersey area our local shipping company will make the delivery for larger appliances. They will contact you to set up an appointment once the order arrives in your area. They will work around your schedule and will give you a 1 hour window for a delivery time. Your shipping costs will be a flat $39.00 for the first item and $25.00 each additional item. An additional installation service is available in many areas including Metro New York and Metro New Jersey.
