Cooks great but door has never worked

This product does a brilliant job at cooking quickly, reheating to perfection and defrosting. However the door opening mechanism was not great at the beginning and has rapidly deteriorated to the point there you have to actually pull the door open manually once you've unlatched it with the button. Shame as otherwise it's a nice unit for the price.
