There are eleven basic variable power levels on the Frigidaire Over the Range Microwave. Additionally, there are numerous one-touch cooking options which are perfect for those items that you cook the most often in your microwave. This could be popcorn, baked potatoes, or reheating a leftover dinner plate. No need to figure out the settings required to cook these common items: the information is programmed right into the unit. You can also create your own one-touch cooking instructions by programming the memory cook option.
Along with the six defrost variables is the Super Defrost feature on this microwave that defrosts up to 50% faster then other microwave ovens. This makes cooking a great meal right after coming home from work problem-free.
Inside the microwave is a rotating turntable that you can either turn on or off. Having a turntable like this means you don’t have to constantly start and stop a meal to “rotate” it. This helps your food cook evenly. The easy-to-read 7-digit, 2 color lit display helps cooks of all ages clearly program the microwave for the best results. I removed my old microwave and installed this one in it's place within 2.5 hours. This included a trip to the [...], beers, and joking with the wife. Install was easy. When my wife finally used it she thought it was not working. She said it's making a faint humming noise and is not heating up the food.... I laughed my head off and told her it was operating at FULL POWER!!!! This thing is very quiet compared to out 2003 Whirlpool OTR microwave. I must admit it also changed our kitchen's feel now that the darn appliances match.

My wife and I both enjoy cooking and use the micro wave for preparing vegetable, thawing meats, fish, and vegetables. It works very well in all those capacities. My wife uses it for popcorn and she says it performs better than our old micro when popping corn. We replaced a stove hood with the micro-wave so installation was more complicated than replacing an above stove micro-wave. Installation went relatively smoothly. From stove hood removal to operating took about 3 hours which is not bad when you consider wiring had to be rerouted and an outlet installed in tight quarters in the overhead cabinet.
